Linde recently announced that it has started up a new ASU and the first of three nitrogen generators, as part of a 15-year contract to supply ultra-high purity industrial gases to a major electronics customer in Taiwan.
Built and operated by Linde's joint venture Linde LienHwa (LLH), the project will support a multi-billion-dollar wafer fab expansion in Tainan Science Park, Taiwan.
The remaining two generators are expected to come on stream in 2021. Once completed, the ASU and the three generators will have a total combined gas capacity of over 173,000 Nm3/hr.
Over the past five years, LLH has invested more than $600 million in its production capacities under several long-term commitments with its customers in Taiwan. |
