Luxfer Gas Cylinders recently announced that its intent to divest of the US aluminum cylinder business, based in Graham, NC.

This represents a strategic repositioning to focus future investments in high growth areas, including alternative fuels and composites. Other businesses are unaffected by the announcement, including those based in Riverside, CA; Nottingham, UK; Calgary, Canada; and Shanghai, China.

Luxfer is in dialog with potential acquirers of the US aluminum cylinder business, and aims to complete the divesture within no more than twelve months.

“We will focus innovation and investment on some exciting growth opportunities elsewhere in the Luxfer Gas Cylinders cylinder and systems businesses”, said Andy Butcher, President of Luxfer Gas Cylinders.
