Messer recently announced that it has increased CO©üsupply capabilities for industrial gas customers in Brazil. With CO©ü sustainably produced in the city of Jandaia do Sul, in the Paraná countryside of Brazil, Messer aims to meet growing demand from regional manufacturers in the animal protein, chemical, mechanical, healthcare, welding and beverage industries.
CO©ü is usually a byproduct of fertilizer manufacturing. However, in Jandaia do Sul it will be produced in an innovative and sustainable way, from the processing of vegetables.
“This is the first time that food-grade pure CO©ü will be generated from corn in Brazi. This brings numerous advantages, such as continuous gas production, 365 days a year, without interruptions from seasonalityl,” said Scott Latta, General Manager, Messer Brazil. |
