Honeywell recently announced that plans to build a manufacturing plant for environmentally-friendlier HFC refrigerant products in Shanghai, China.
The plant, expected to be operational in November 2004, will serve as the production and service center in Asia for HFC refrigerants such as R-410A, R-407C and R-404A, which are alternatives to HCFC and CFC refrigerants.
The new facility will blend and package reliable, high quality finished products tailored to meet the rapidly expanding and unique needs of the air-conditioning and refrigeration industries in Asia.
The company recently signed a supply agreement with China’s Haier Group for a variety of products including refrigerant R-410A.
