Air Liquide (AL) recently announced that it supported prototype hydrogen service station at the 6th Challenge Bibendum organized by Michelin at the Shanghai International Circuit, October 11 ?14, 2004.
For Michelin and its partners, this technological challenge provides an opportunity to test many solutions capable of balancing the need for mobility on the roads with respect for people and the environment, the company said.
Among the entries, around twenty will be running on hydrogen. The hydrogen will be supplied by AL and distributed via a prototype service station designed and built by research teams belonging to the Group.
Three similar stations are currently operating around the world, participating in experiments on clean urban transport in Kawasaki, Madrid and Luxemburg. |
