The Linde Group recently announced that it has received an order from Skangass AS for the turnkey supply of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) production plant for a site in Risavika, near Stavanger, Norway.
The contract value is approximately EUR 100 million.
The LNG plant has a production capacity of approximately 300,000 tonnes per year and will provide LNG for customers in Scandinavia and in the Baltic region from 2010.
AGA Gas AB, a Linde subsidiary and market leader in industrial gases in Sweden, will use and distribute a sixth of the total LNG volume.
"This order further underlines our leading position in the field of medium-sized LNG plants. Furthermore, this project allows us to enter the strategically important merchant LNG market.", said Dr. Aldo Belloni, member of the Executive Board of Linde AG. |
