BOC recently signed a long-term agreement to supply liquid helium to Brazilian industrial gases company IBG (Industria Brasilera de Gases, Ltda.).
As part of IBG’s move into the Brazilian helium market, BOC assisted IBG in the construction of a state-of-the-art, USD 1million helium transfill facility that was completed in March 2004. In addition, IBG has invested in new distribution equipment to support its growth, including minimum heat leak liquid helium dewars.
BOC supplies the IBG transfill facility with bulk liquid helium from its sources in the U.S. IBG then transfers the helium from bulk liquid ISO containers into dewars, cylinders and tube trailers for delivery to its customers.
