Air Products announced recently that it has added to its growing China position with the signing of a 15-year on-site supply contract for bulk gases and Cleaned Dried Air (CDA) for a new six-inch wafer fab owned and operated by SinoMOS Semiconductor (Ningbo), Inc.
Air Products will supply a 20 high purity nitrogen generator, a CDA system, and other bulk gas delivery systems to SinoMOS' fab, which is located in the Ningbo Free Trade Zone in China.
In addition to the SinoMOS contract, Air Products also announced that one of the contractors performing the in-fab gas distribution at SinoMOS has placed a separate order with San Fu Gases Company in which Air Products has a 70 percent controlling interest or 31 gas cabinets and racks.
Han Yang Technology (HYT), in which Air Products has a controlling interest and serves as the Asian hub for the company's Electronics Equipment Solutions business unit, will manufacture the equipment.
