Taylor-Wharton recently announced price increases affecting high pressure and acetylene cylinders, liquid cylinders and standard cryogenic bulk tanks.
The new price schedules will be effective for all shipments made after January 1, 2004 and will apply to all customers who do not have firm contracts in place.
Price increases for specific product lines will average 5% for cryogenic cylinders and bulk tanks and 8% for high pressure and acetylene cylinders.
They noted that mounting costs for raw materials, energy and health care benefits for employees make the increases necessary to continue profitable operation of our factories.
