BOC is doubling its carbon dioxide (CO2) capacity in Thailand with a second plant in Rayong.
The plant, which will go online in the fourth quarter of 2003, will be able to produce 300 tonnes a day of CO2, most of which will be used to support Thailand's poultry and prawn processing industries.
BOC's wholly owned subsidiary, Thai Industrial Gases (TIG), is building the plant to meet demand for CO2, which processors use to chill and freeze food.
Through TIG, BOC is investing more than THB 220 million (USD 5.1M) in the plant and ancillary production capacity, which will be located next to BOC's existing 300 tonne a day CO2 plant. |
