¡°Leuna is one of the greatest industrial gas sites in Europe today, and one of the most important in the world-wide Linde Group", said Dr. Aldo Belloni at the festive start-up of another hydrogen plant at Leuna on June 2, 2003.
This site is our most important location for future gas projects in Eastern Europe and Asia. Linde has invested about 40 million euro in the new hydrogen plant, and now has a hydrogen capacity of more than 140,000 cubic meters of hydrogen per hour.
The Linde Gas Center uses more than 300 miles of pipeline to supply oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon monoxide to about 40 major customers in the German chemical triangle of Leuna, Bohlen and Bitterfeld, and as far as Zeitz.
Since reunification, Linde has invested 500 million euro in Eastern Germany. |
