BOC and Hudson Technologies, a leading player in the US refrigerants market, recently have announced the signing of a global alliance to promote a technology that ‘cleans' refrigerants.
The technology will improve plant efficiency leading to greater energy savings for customers and environmental benefits from reduced carbon dioxide emissions.
The new technology - launched for the first time outside the USA - cleans the ‘fluids', refrigerants and oils that may have become contaminated within a refrigeration system.
Analysis of the fluids can help identify where the contamination may be coming from, contamination which can be cured by cleaning.
Kevin Baudhuin, BOC's global director, special products, said “We feel Hudson's refrigerants recovery and reclaim technology is superior to any other currently available. It's main advantages are speed of operation and that it can operate without requiring the plant to be shut down."
